No application, regardless of how it functions, will perform any better than the host on which it runs.
For instance, our servers are big and powerful and do many wonderful things very quickly. However, if the
computer being used to access the The Trading Portal has a slow internet connection, then you as a
user will not see the benefit of our server speed because the connection will limit response times. This
is one example of how the computer on your end can impact your customer experience on our site in ways that
we cannot control.
To minimize that impact, we have put together some recommendations for the type of computer that we would
recommend to help ensure that you are fully satisfied in terms of customer experience and system response
time when accessing and using The Trading Portal.
We recommend a desktop or laptop computer that is a business class machine, meaning that it is not obsolete
or ready for disposal but relatively new, in good working order, and running the latest operating system and
business software. Use the specs listed below as a guide.
